Engine cooling system 1.8 liters

A closed circuit for cooling with antifreeze circulating under pressure contains a radiator, a coolant pump, an expansion tank, a thermostat and a fan with an electric motor controlled by a thermal switch located in the thermostat cover.

Radiator

The crossflow radiator has an aluminum alloy heat exchanger and plastic tanks.

Expansion tank

Expansion tank made of artificial material, in the cork has a double-acting valve.

Coolant pump

The centrifugal coolant pump is driven by the timing belt.

Thermostat

The wax thermostat is located on the side of the cylinder head.

Opening start temperature: 84°–89°С.

Full opening temperature: 102±3°C.

Fan

The fan is driven by an electric motor controlled by a thermal switch located in the thermostat cover.

Coolant

Quantity: 8.6 dm³.

Type: a mixture of 60% distilled water and 40% Motorcraft special antifreeze mixture with the designation Ford SSM 97 B 9103 A.

Replacement interval: every 3 years.
