Removing the cylinder head

Air filter assembly

1. Disconnect ground wire from battery.

2. Drain the coolant from the cooling system (unscrew the plug on the right side of the cylinder block, and also disconnect the lower flexible pipe from the radiator).

3. Remove the air filter, disconnect the pipes and rods from the carburetor and intake manifold.

4. Disconnect the electrical wires from the carburetor and cylinder head.

5. Disconnect the high voltage wires from the spark plugs and remove the high voltage distributor.

6. Disconnect the coolant lines from the carburetor starter chamber, the upper hose from the radiator, and the expansion tank hose from the cylinder head.

Attention! Do not place the cylinder head with the lower plane on a horizontal surface, as this threatens to damage the valves protruding below the plane. The cylinder head should be positioned so that the valve plates do not touch anything.
