Removing the toothed belt tensioner using wrench 21.012
1 - tensioner, 2 - spring, 3 - adjusting bolt, 4 - tensioner roller.
Installing signs of the gas distribution system
Withdrawal
1. Place the transmission in neutral and apply the parking brake to the vehicle.
2. Remove the V-belt by loosening the bolts securing the alternator and sliding it towards the engine.
3. Set the piston of cylinder 1 to top dead center by turning the crankshaft by the bolt securing the V-belt pulley in the direction of working rotation until the top dead center mark is aligned with the mark on the casing.
4. Unscrew the bolts securing the toothed belt cover, tilt it to the side and forward and remove it.
5. Release tension on toothed belt by first unscrewing hexagon bolt (key s=6) on the belt tensioner and then the hex bolt (s=16) and overcoming the resistance of the spring, tilt the tension block and completely unscrew the bolts.
6. Remove the belt pulley from the crankshaft. If the toothed belt is removed only from the camshaft pulley, then the pulley should not be removed from the crankshaft.
7. Remove toothed belt.
Attention! Do not turn the engine by the camshaft pulley, as this can destroy the belt. If there are cracks, traces of oil or damage to the teeth on the belt, the belt must be replaced.
Installation
1. Check the alignment of marks on the camshaft pulley and cylinder head. Align labels if necessary.
2. Install the intermediate shaft so that the mark on the distributor rotor is above the mark on the edge of the distributor. First you need to remove the cover of the distributor by lifting the 2 side mounting brackets with a screwdriver and unscrewing the 2 screws securing the cover.
3. Install the toothed belt onto the crankshaft pulley and tighten the V-belt pulley onto the crankshaft.
4. Install the toothed belt onto the camshaft pulley and loosen the belt tensioner.
5. Rotate the crankshaft two turns at the V-belt pulley so that the tensioner rests on the toothed belt and tighten the tensioner: first with the hexagon bolt and then with the hexagon socket.
6. Turn the crankshaft another 2 turns and check the alignment of the marks on the camshaft pulley, ignition distributor rotor and crankshaft V-belt pulley.
7. Install the toothed belt guard.
8. Install the distributor cap (see fig. Installing signs of the gas distribution system).
