Weber carburetor idle adjustment
1 - screw for adjusting the engine speed, 2 - casing for the screw for adjusting the composition of the mixture
1. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
2. Connect the exhaust gas analyzer and tachometer in accordance with the instructions for their use.
3. Hold for about 30 seconds the speed of 3000 rpm, and then release the accelerator pedal. Wait until the analyzer readings are set.
4. Check engine idle speed. If necessary, adjust the engine speed with the screw (1).
5. Read the CO concentration readings in the exhaust gases. If the CO concentration is low, then remove the casing of the mixture adjustment screw (2) and adjust the CO concentration with this screw at idle speed of the engine.
6. Recheck engine idle speed and adjust if necessary.
