Fuel tank
The fuel tank, made of sheet steel, is installed under the boot floor and is held in place by a plate secured with two bolts.
Capacity: 60 dm3.
Tank filler location: on the right rear fender.
Fuel type: leaded petrol 98 octane or unleaded petrol 95 octane minimum, however, when using it, it is necessary to reduce the ignition advance by 4°, and in all engines 1.3 dm3 (type JCT) and in the rest, manufactured before October 1984, it is mandatory to refuel with leaded gasoline every fourth refueling; 1.6 dm3 and 2.0 dm3 engines, produced since November 1984, are adapted to the use of unleaded gasoline.
Fuel pump
The mechanical diaphragm pump is driven by the intermediate shaft eccentric.
Fuel supply pressure: 24–38 kPa.
Air filter
The air filter has a replaceable paper filter element housed in a plastic housing.
Air filter element to replace: brand: Motorcraft, type: 71 HF 9601 BB.
Carburetor
On 1.3 in3 and 1.6 in3 engines: Ford carburetor (Motorcraft) with a variable diffuser section, with an automatic starter and an accelerator pump driven by vacuum in the intake manifold.
On 2.0 dm3 engines: two-chamber sequential Weber carburetor, with automatic starter and mechanically actuated accelerator pump.
