The control dimension of the depth of the hydrokinetic transmission
A = 10 mm
The Ford C 3 automatic transmission has three forward gears and a reverse gear. While moving forward, the gear lever can take three positions: "D", "2" And "1". In addition, this lever can take three more additional positions marked: "P", "R" And "N".
The engine can only be started when the gear lever is set to "R" or "N". The safety device prevents the engine from starting if the gear lever is in any other position.
The positions are marked near the gear lever located in the floor of the vehicle. Pregnant "D" gear shifting occurs automatically in the entire range. Automatic gear selection depends on the speed of movement, however, it is possible for the driver to shift the gear to a lower one by pressing the accelerator pedal all the way (kick-down) to the maximum throttle position of the carburetor.
Identification
A metal plate containing the transmission identification data is located under the bolt securing the rear of the gearbox housing to its front. Another similar plate is located near the gearshift mechanism.
Control oil pressure (kPa)

"D"; "2" and "1" | 350 – 430 | 1100 – 1300 |
Reference engine speed: 2600 rpm.
