2. Install new O-rings and new O-rings on the bearing clearance adjustment flange (tool 15.076).
3. Lubricate the differential case bearings with the same type of oil as for the rear axle.
4. Install the differential and bearing clearance adjusting flanges and screw them in by hand until the bearings are in place.
5. After doing (hand) several tens of revolutions of the final drive gear (for laying the tapered bearings of the differential box) the final drive gears must be so adjusted that the gap is almost not felt.
6. Install the dial indicator holder on the differential case, and rest its measuring tip at a right angle against one of the teeth of the final drive driven gear.
7. Tighten the differential case bearing clearance adjusting flange on the driven gear side of the final drive and loosen the bearing clearance adjusting flange located on the opposite side so that the final gear tooth gap is 0.05mm.
8. Screw in the bearing clearance adjustment flange on the differential side by 4-5 teeth.
9. Rotate the final drive gear several times and measure the tooth gap in three places on the final drive gear (approximately every 120°).
10. Install retainers (from unscrewing) bearing clearance adjustment flanges
11. Install the rear axle housing cover with a new gasket and identification plate.
