2. Loosen the adjusting nut to completely remove the cable tension (see section 12).
3. Disconnect release cable from pedal assembly (see picture).

1. Release cable.

4. Pull out the parking brake switch connector. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum motor if the vehicle is equipped with an automatic brake release system.
5. Unscrew the mechanism support bolts.
6. Disconnect the parking brake cable, then depress the cable sheath tabs by pushing the housing through the pedal bracket.
7. Remove the pedal assembly.
8. Installation of the pedal unit is carried out in reverse order. Adjust the parking brake cable as directed in section 12.
