Checking and replacing the cooling fan thermostat

            0

Note: Make sure the engine is completely cool before starting work. Drain approximately 1 liter as recommended in chapter 1 (1 quart) coolant from the radiator.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Locate the fan thermostat at the left end of the intake manifold (from the driver's side) - for V6 engines or on the cylinder head (for four-cylinder engines) - see pictures.

3. Remove the electrical connector from the thermostat.

4. Remove the thermostat (if possible, use a box wrench or socket wrench).

5. Wrap the threads of the new thermal switch with Teflon tape to prevent leaks.

6. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
