1. Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal.
2. Raise the car, install it on racks.
3. Disconnect the large cable from the starter motor contact (see picture).
4. Remove the two bolts securing the rear support bracket (see figure 19.3) and remove the bracket.
5. Turn off two bolts of fastening of a starter to a case of transmission on four-cylinder engines. On V6 engines, there are 2 such bolts. Remember that a ground wire is connected to the top bolt - starter stud (see picture).
6. Remove the starter. On vehicles with automatic transmission, it is pulled out between the radiator and the frame. With a manual transmission, it is removed between the frame and the engine.
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
