32. Noise in neutral with engine running
1. Gearbox input shaft bearing worn.
2. Damaged input shaft bearing.
3. Worn intermediate shaft bearings.
4. Worn or damaged intermediate shaft end gaskets.
33. Noise in all gears
1. Any of the reasons given above.
2. Lack of oil (see check in chapter 1).
34. Noise in one of the gears
1. Worn, broken or stuck gear teeth in this particular gear.
2. The synchronizer of this gear is worn out or broken.
35. Jumping out of top gears
1. The gearbox weakens the clutch housing (chapter 7).
2. Shift link interferes with engine mount or shift lever (chapter 7).
3. Shift rod cannot move freely (chapter 7).
4. Dirt between clutch cover and engine or misalignment in gearbox (chapter 7).
5. Worn or improperly installed clutch (chapter 7).
36. Heavy shifting
1. Clutch does not fully disengage (see clutch adjustment in chapter 8).
2. Loose, broken or misaligned clutch rods. Carefully examine and install parts as required (chapter 7).
37. Oil leak
1. Too much oil in the gearbox (see chapter 1).
2. The oil seal of the axle drive should be replaced (chapter 8) or speedometer (chapter 7).
